I think this is my favorite type of mascara. The bristles give a beautiful smoky shimmer to the lashes in my lashes, and not to me to smudge. I like the quality of this mascara which is one of the best and most easy things about this product. I used to use this color on my lashes a LOT, but I actually decided to make the lashes darker because I feel pretty sensitive to how heavy it is. It's just another great product for this kind of style.
The only issue I've had is that the bristles aren't too thick. The bristles also made the top lashline look pretty flaky on me. It's kind of irritating if you apply too much, but if you don't, you can go from a little thickish that way to just really nice and thick.

What's the recommended size for the mascara to go in with it?
The mascara should be quite thick. My lashes were too small for this to work with, so one may need to go between 50-80 mm (4 inches) around the edge to make the lashes the right amount of length. Also, at the same point the top lashes seem to shrink out quite a bit, and I still need to add more weight to the lashes
